Say Thank You Rich Jerk and Reap Honest Riches

When I first received Holly Manns Thank You Rich Jerk! (also called Honest Riches or Breakthrough Money Making Secrets Revealed), I was a little skeptical at what I was getting. Considering it costs 60% LESS than The Rich Jerk eBook, I was wondering if the amount of information it contained would be proportional to the price. I did find this to be true, but not in the way I imagined.

Thank You Rich Jerk starts off with a short introduction to how Holly started her online venture. This introduction is a testament to showing that willpower and positive state of mind can overcome difficult circumstances. Right off the bat, I was intrigued to how she got from where she was to where she is today. Also, at the bottom of the page was a link to a Live Journal site. Checking out the link, I found that Holly actually participates in the discussions. She provides regular feedback as well as tips on where to get more information or resources for online businesses. Im already impressed and I havent even gotten to the first chapter.

Here is a quick breakdown of the chapters in her book

Chapter 1 Affiliate Marketing
Chapter 2 Product Reviews
Chapter 3 Website Design
Chapter 4 Improving Website Content
Chapter 5 Pay Per Click (PPC)
Chapter 6 Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Chapter 7 Improving Website Ranking
Chapter 8 Website Stats and Tracking
Chapter 9 Using Lists and Automation
Chapter 10 Advertising Your Website
Chapter 11 Press Releases
Chapter 12 Dropshipping and Wholesalers
Chapter 13 EBay Advertising

Compared to the Rich Jerk eBook, this book pays more attention to affiliate marketing, website design/content/stat tracking, and advertising. While it doesnt offer the variety of different methods to make money online, it does delve deeper into Affiliate Marketing and creating a web site of your own. There are good and bad points to this. The good is that you get a tremendous amount of in-depth information as well as helpful links and tips. The bad is that if you are looking for varied forms of income to make money online, this book focuses on fewer avenues while providing basic information and some helpful tips for other forms of online income.

That being said, this is an excellent book for people looking to get started in making money online. My advice after purchasing this book would be to proceed slowly chapter by chapter. Make sure you absorb what is being laid out. This book is not for people looking to read something in 5 minutes, implement it in 10, and then begin making money. This book is for people would want to build the foundation of an online business brick by brick.

As I said in The Rich Jerk review, this book WILL NOT make money for you with no effort. It will take some time to read through each chapter and then utilize the concepts that Holly discusses. I would list that as a very small drawback of this book. There is so much depth of information, that it might take a few readings of each chapter to fully absorb what is being discussed. That is not to say the concepts are difficult, but that the manner in which it is written allows (and even encourages this). Holly gently takes your hand and guides you down the path to building an online presence. Along the way, she stops to point out different helpful resources as well as to offer encouragement for those just starting out. At the end of the journey, youll feel confident that you too can make money online.

Id be remiss if I didnt mention the numerous free items that Holly provides for download in addition to the eBook. I counted no less that 5 different tools and informational packets that she provided IN ADDITION to the information and links contained in the No Thank You Rich Jerk eBook. As I stated in the opening, the amount of information is proportional to the cost, except in this case your $20 investment is rewarded with copious amount of useful information. This isnt a 54 page sales letter for more products. It is a reference tool, a bible of sorts for anyone wanting to start making money online. Its not a book you will read once and move to the dark recesses of your hard drive. Its one that will be used again and again as your business begins to mature.

Final Analysis: This is probably the best eBook for anyone starting out trying to make money online. Before you invest in compartmentalized books about AdSense or AdWords, or Pay-per-click advertising, I suggest going through Hollys book with a fine toothed comb and gleaning as much information out as possible. Put her information into practice and watch your business grow. In terms of bang for the buck, this is an exceptional deal. For $20, Im not sure there is a better investment one could make. As much as I liked The Rich Jerk eBook, Hollys is step above and costs less.

Has European Professional Basketball Caught up to the NBA?

Contrary to conventional wisdom, American professional basketball players and Euroleague teams have been actively competing for the past 20 years in direct competition other than at the Olympics. The competition began when in 1987 the Milwaukee Bucks defeated Tracer Milan of Italy, 123-111, in the opening game of the first McDonald's Open, held at the Milwaukee Arena. The Bucks beat the Soviet National Team, 127-100, in the championship game of the tournament sanctioned by the NBA and FIBA.

The next year, in the very first McDonald's Championship to be held in Europe, the Boston Celtics beat Real Madrid 111-96 at the Palacio de Deportes in Madrid, Spain.

Also in 1988, the Atlanta Hawks became the first NBA team to play in the Soviet Union when they defeated the Soviet Georgia All-Stars, 85-84, in a pre-season game.

By the third year, the McDonald's Championship moved to Rome, Italy. This time, the Denver Nuggets represented the NBA against the Spanish Champion F.C. Barcelona, the European Champion Jugoplastika Split, and Philips Milan. The Nuggets beat Barcelona in their tournament opener and went on to edge Jugoplastika Split 135-129 to capture the title.

In 1991 the so-called 'city of lights' was the site for McDonald's Championship. The Los Angeles Lakers went to Paris, France to compete against the host team CSP Limoges, Joventut Badalona and Slobodna Dalmacija Split of the former Yugoslavia. With Magic Johnson taking charge, the Lakers beat CSP Limoges before eking out a win versus Joventut Badalona 116-114 to claim the title.

It was 1993 which saw the first pre-season game between two U.S. pro teams ever played in Europe, the Orlando Magic, led by 14 fourth-quarter points from Dennis Scott, defeated the Atlanta Hawks 120-95 before a sold-out crowd of 9,483 at Wembley Arena in the opening of the two-game NBA London Games series.

In 2003, the San Antonio Spurs and the Memphis Grizzlies played an NBA pre-season game in Paris, as part of the NBA Europe Games 2003, in front of a sell-out crowd of 14,480. The NBA Champion Spurs won 105-93 and Spurs player Tony Parker got a standing ovation when he received the MVP in front of his home crowd. After the noted game, the Memphis Grizzlies traveled to Barcelona where they played local team FC Barcelona on October 10. Memphis won the game 91-80 and Spanish native Pau Gasol, former player for FC Barcelona, put his many skills on full display.

Baby Portraits An Oil Painting From Your Photos

Forget the tie this Fathers Day; oil painting portraits of children is a Fathers Day gift that is sure to be unexpected. A custom-created oil painting can be commissioned from a professional using a photograph of your baby, which is especially helpful if youre child does not sit still for long. If you are truly adventurous and enjoy experimenting, you can even paint an oil painting on your own.

A Unique Gift Idea

A child portrait, especially a baby portrait, is not only a timeless and classical way to commemorate the privilege of fatherhood, but is also a Fathers Day gift that will likely be completely unexpected. Forget the work shirts, golf equipment and barbecue supplies this year; a Fathers Day gift should be a sign of thanks and appreciation for your special dad. Furthermore, a baby portrait is truly a gift that he will cherish for the rest of his life and one that will probably also become a family heirloom.

An oil painting is a non-traditional and unique Fathers Day gift idea. While baby portraits, just like any other original oil paintings, can be expensive, it may be worth the cost to be able to convey a special message to the man who has been such a wonderful father.

How its Done

Most babies are not willing to sit still for the long hours that are necessary to paint a traditional portrait; however there are many artists who will create an oil painting from your photo. Choose a photo that is clear and accurately portrays the expressions and personality of your baby. Giving a Fathers Day gift such as a commissioned baby portrait will forever preserve that particular moment in time for the father and will be a vision that he will surely carry with him always.

Select the Right Artist

When it comes to oil painters, not all artists are the same. Make sure to choose an artist that specializes in portraits, perhaps even one that works solely on baby portraits. Choosing an artist that works mostly with landscapes and still-life paintings or other non-human subject matter may not be the best choice for your baby portrait, though his or her work may be impressive. The artist that you commission should be able to capture facial expressions and the humanity of the child in the portrait. In order to select the artist that is best for you, ask your friends who they have heard of and spend some time looking through portfolio books.

Once you have your commissioned baby portrait, make sure that you wrap it well so that it does not get any scratches before Fathers Day. Select a location in your home that you can be proud to feature the work. As your child grows, you will likely want to place this baby portrait next to future portraits of him or her.

Allan Holder is the founder and owner of http://www.mypicturepainter.com which is a site dedicated to the revival of the lost art of portrait painting. In today's fast paced world, sitting for a portrait painting is simply not practical. We allows the user to submit a photo to our network of talented artists who will paint a personal oil painting from your photo.

Learn and Master the Guitar at Home

As a guitarist, I'm often asked this question - "What is the best way to improve my guitar playing given my limited time and budget?"

In this article, I'll explore how you can use a Guitar Learning Method on the the Internet to learn and master the guitar in the comfort of your own home. Compared to a personal tutor, learning the guitar online is a much more flexible and cost effective route.

You can take the lessons at your own pace and work it around your schedule, plus its far more affordable than a private guitar tutor.

So, what do you need to get started? Contrary to popular belief, you only need a few basic things to get started. Don't be caught up with all the hype around equipment, gadgets and learning aids.

First of all, you'll need a guitar. Bet you already knew that, but you don't have to wait for that perfect guitar to start, a basic acoustic guitar with fresh strings will do. Secondly, you'll need a PC with a decent set of speakers. Third, a private place to practice and learn is an added bonus. Finally, the most important thing you'll need is a whole lot of determination and tenacity. Guitar learning can be frustrating and you really need to keep at it to see results.

Now that you've got all that sorted out, get online and start learning! A good guitar training program should have step by step instructions with videos. You'll learn how to read notes and tab, form chords and recognize chord progressions by ear. Some programs will even provide you with custom software to help you develop a musical ear.

You'll be surprised at how much these excellent online music lessons will cost. Its a lot more affordable then you. Once you purchase it, it'll always be online for you to login and learn.

Be prepared to develop callous on your fingers and some pain on your wrists when you start. Some programs will also provide finger training exercises to help you strengthen your fingers (and you'll grow stronger skin on your fingers to compensate the callous).

The secret to learning the guitar successfully is persistence and practice. Don't rush the program and only move to the next lesson after you've mastered one. Many people give up when they don't seem to get anywhere in their playing, but remember that everyone needs to learn to crawl, then walk, then run! Get down your basics well and work on foundations like playing chords, developing a good sense of rhythm, the correct fingering techniques (bad habits will be hard to break later on), proper posture and handling of your guitar so you can enjoy playing long hours without hurting yourself.

I hope that this article will be useful to you on your musical journey. Remember to keep practicing and don't give up. If you read biographies of any great guitar players, you'll see a similar pattern: dedication to their craft and practice!

Al Tan tries to be a guitarist when he's not building websites. One of the best resource to learn guitar online that he's come across which has step-by-step guitar lessons on video is http://www.LearnMusicFrom.Us/Guitar. For acoustic guitar, try http://www.LearnMusicFrom.Us/AcousticGuitar.

Martial Arts Book Review: Pool Cues, Beer Bottles, and Baseball Bats by Marc "Animal" MacYoung

Being the author of several books on the martial arts and fighting, I am always looking for books of exceptional quality to add to my library. If I have a book in my library, it's definitely worth owning. One such book is Marc Animal MacYoungs, "Pool Cues, Beer Bottles, and Baseball Bats."

As you may well know from my previous reviews of Marcs books, one of the things that I absolutely love about his style of writing, is his no-holds barred direct approach to getting his point across. There is never any sugarcoating or politically correct terminology is his books. He simply tells it like it is, whether you like it or not. Marcs method of writing reminds me of the comical rants of George Carlin. You may be offended by what he says, but by golly its the truth. And yes, sometimes the truth hurts.

Once again, Marc gives you a no-holds barred look at the reality of fighting and surviving on the street. This book focuses on the most common types of weapons you are likely to encounter during an altercation on the street. For the most part, Marc leaves out the two most common ones, guns and knives. The reason for this is because these two are deserving of book all of their own. One of which I know Marc has addressed, as that particular book is on my To Do list.

In the preface, Marc discusses the intent of his book, which is for you the reader to use the knowledge contained within to keep yourself safe and out of trouble. It is not intended nor implied for you to go out and start causing it. As I was making notes to do this review, it occurred to me that what Marc and others like him are trying to teach you is similar to what the late Steve The Crocodile Hunter Irwin was trying to teach all of us that watched him work with animals.

First, that these are wild animals (violent and unpredictable individuals) and need to be treated with respect. Secondly, if you know the ins and outs (what to look for when dealing with this type of person) of the animal, then you will be able to identify and avoid a possible dangerous confrontation.

This last part is strictly Marcs and others like him, and is not Irwins by any stretch of the imagination.

And finally, when unable to avoid a confrontation, what options you have to inflict as much damage upon your opponent as you can while sustaining minimal damage to yourself.

In the first chapter, Marc talks about the vital importance of awareness not only of your surroundings, but also of yourself. He teaches you some of the subtle and not-so-subtle cues that people tend to give off when preparing to attack. He also goes into patterns of trouble, which are a series of events that seem to always follow one after another on a one way course to trouble. With you usually right in the middle of it. One of the ways to avoid these things is to be aware of it. Hence, the lesson to be learned in this section, taking the time to work on your awareness.

The next chapter deals with long range weapons you are likely to encounter. Things such as pool cues, staffs or poles, shovels, etc. The remaining chapters in this book are broken down into various sections that focus on a wide variety of weapons, such as swords, sticks. Marc also goes into quite a bit of detail on impact weapons such as; wrist pins, brass knuckles, rings, saps, etc. Marc even has a chapter dealing with flexible weapons such as chains and ropes. As with all of his books, and this one is no exception, Marc gives you a real good understanding of the principles behind the techniques that he discusses and demonstrates in his books.

Marcs final chapter in this book deals with diversions and distractions that you are likely to encounter during a street altercation. Some of them are obvious, while others are not so obvious. As Marc is fond of saying (and completely right) awareness is the key to survival. Buy Marcs books, read them, study them, learn from them, and then use that knowledge to stay safe and live longer. Marc can be reached via his web site at: http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com

ER (Season 3) DVD Review

Nominated for 25 Golden Globes and 110 Emmys, including 7 for Outstanding Drama Series, ER has long been one of the best prime-time shows on television. Premiering in September 1994 on NBC, the hour-long hospital drama vividly illustrates the intensity and fast-paced stress endemic to hospital emergency rooms across America. Brought into being by Michael Crichton - famous Hollywood insider, novelist, and brains behind such films as Jurassic Park, Twister, and Timeline - ER fulfills its creator's ultimate vision (it took over a decade of pitching the show before network executives bit) for a close-to-life glimpse of the technology and the humanity omnipresent in the ER. Since its inception, many cast members have passed through the halls of ER, many of them having gone on to become big stars in Hollywood

ER follows the exploits of a group of emergency room staff who work in a busy Chicago hospital. The show attempts to examine every detail of the ER experience. From the exhilaration of saving a life to the tedium caused by mountains of paperwork, all the highs and lows are covered. In the show's first year, a number of regular faces staffed the ER. Doctors Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards), Peter Benton (Eriq La Salle), Douglas Ross (George Clooney), and Susan Lewis (Sherri Stringfield) were regulars in the ER along with Head Nurse Carol Hathaway (Julianna Margulies) and Benton's medical student understudy (and later ER doctor), John Carter (Noah Wyle) Any given episode tends to run multiple plot lines throughout the show, interweaving scenes in short snippets intended to heighten audience emotion and create the aura of a stress-laden atmosphere. The show's high drama, coupled with subplots of the staffers' personal lives and the display of cutting edge medical technology, combine to make ER one of most adrenaline-inducing programs in television history

The ER (Season 3) DVD features a number of dramatic episodes including the season premiere "Dr. Carter, I Presume" in which Carter begins his internship at the ER with a difficult day filling in for Peter as the ER surgery consultant. Meanwhile, several plotlines related to the staffers' personal lives take twists when Carol runs into Shep and his new girlfriend and Peter runs into an old friend at a barbecue Other notable episodes from Season 3 include "No Brain, No Gain" in which Peter fights to save the life of a gang member already declared dead by Doug, and "The Long Way Around" in which Carol is held hostage during a robbery at a local store

The Road To Financial Freedom Just Got a Little Straighter

I had spent a great deal of time and money surfing the Internet looking for an opportunity to make money. I was beginning to think that I would not find a business that was legit, useful, practical and affordable.

Lucky I did not give up because after a two-year search I finally found what I was looking for.

I purchased Instant-Riches 4 months ago and the results have been unbelievable. This product blew mw away. I was amazed at the simplicity and effectiveness. I would recommend this to anyone.

There is far more realistic information in this package than in any other I've tried (and believe me I've tried a few). The delivery is step-by-step, clear, concise and exact. There are no blind spots with this system; you simply do exactly as your told. If you follow it exactly as I did, there is no reason whatsoever for you too fail.

I began making sales on my third day, I cannot express to you here just how excited and shocked I was. That was the first day of my very profitable career in online marketing, oh and check this out; I had no previous experience whatsoever. I was a receptionist. Now I'm I work from home full time.

Please don't just take my word for it. You can try it for 60 days and if for whatever reason you are not 100% satisfied you may ask for a FULL refund.

Learning About Payment Processors And What To Take Into Consideration When Choosing One

Payment processors are very important to your business, as they are how you will receive payment for your products or services. Your first thing to do is to set up a merchant account using one of these services.

Defining a Merchant Account: It's a system set up on your website to accept payments. This permits your buyers to pay online via your web page. It's important that you provide a secure payment page where buyers can use a credit card to purchase something. A wide variety of merchant accounts are available to you. It is smart to give your customers many choices in the type of payment processor.

You may ask, what are the different fees involved? There are a lot of various different sorts of payment systems. Some charge monthly for the service, and others will charge you to set up an account and then a fee per transaction. Before entering into any agreement with a company, be sure you look into their policies. Some companies have hidden fees that you won't know about until you have started. Still others will try to bind you into a 6 month or 1 year term. Watch for signs of these factors, as you never want your business to be in jeopardy due to your payment processor.

Different processors: For online business, Paypal, Clickbank and 2checkout are cost effective, easy to use and easy to set up on a regular business website. These 3 payment systems can be set up with very little knowledge of HTML. These are known as third party systems.

So how do these systems work? They will take your buyers to their secure page to buy your products and services. This means that it is not necessary for you to set up a secure page yourself. Now there are some advantages to using 3rd party processors.

1. They offer ease of shopping for your customer because they accept credit cards. Huge amounts of transactions occur online, and you need to be able to take advantage of that. 2. They all have tutorials and instructions on how to set them up, and you don't have to use just one, but can have a number of them. 3. If you have any problems with fraud etc. they will handle the situations for you. 4. You can use your own bank account for receiving payment.

Setting up a payment processor:

Visit the home page of any of these payment processors and you can see their tutorials and instructions on set up There are many different tools offered.

Shopping carts are a good way to go when you have many products you are offering on your site. Shopping carts are a virtual grocery cart. Shopping carts are convenient and will encourage multiple buying. This system will work well for online stores and sites with multiple related products like hosting companies..

There is always the positive and negative aspect to any processor system. I recommend Paypal as it is fast in transferring money directly to your account.

Clickbank is a good choice to have an affiliate program in place in your business. It costs a bit to set up (around $50) but they pay every two weeks and are very reliable.

2Checkout has been used by many marketers. They have a very good reputation. All will charge you a fee or percentage of sales, so check with each for the best rates.
